In my last post I talked about different Holiday outfits for women. In this post I figured I would give some men some ideas for upcoming events that they may be attending. Since I will be hosting my Holiday party soon, I should give my husband some ideas 🙂
I loved all of these outfits and my husband did as well.
My favorite is the first one (with the plaid pants). I don’t know why, but I’m loving the pants. My hubby thought the last photo (the sweater) was nice. I can see him wearing that on a day to day basis at his job. This is more of his style and his students are always complimenting him on his outfits.

In a previous post, I talked about what top pieces that should be in every woman’s closet. Today, I will be focusing on the men and the top pieces that are essential to have in their wardrobe.
A Sports Coat/Blazer. Having one will make you look put together no matter what. A blue blazer is the cornerstone of any casual wardrobe, because you can create numerous outfits with it. Make sure to purchase one that fits well on you.Â
Denim Jeans. Jeans are iconic, simple, and are easy to wear throughout the week. You shouldn’t purchase just any pair; make sure you invest in a pair that is made of great quality. Most go for a pair that are straight leg, but if you’re daring, try a pair of Skinny Jeans. For those that are on the heavier side, try to find a pair that are more relaxed or a pair with a slim boot cut.
T-shirts are great for wearing under sweaters or by itself with a pair of jeans. These are essential for everyone’s wardrobe. They are great for days when you are going for a more casual look. You should invest in neutral color t-shirts as well. If you are daring, I suggest purchasing some with cool prints to spice up your wardrobe. Plus, try to invest in some from other brands besides Fruit of the Loom.
Polo shirts are classic, all-American, and come in all colors, while buttoned up shirts are timeless and can either dress up or dress down an outfit depending on the event. You simply can’t go wrong with these pieces. I suggest getting a couple in neutral (black, white,gray, etc.) and a couple in fun shades. Just make sure that you purchase these shirts to fit, especially on the arms.
Chinos. Chinos are classic and can be worn  with a sweater or a buttoned up shirt for work. If you are tall, I suggest that you purchase a pair that doesn’t have a visible hemlines. I also suggest having a couple of pairs in different shades of neutral.
Dress shoes & Casual Shoes. For dress shoes, invest in a pair that is black and a pair that is brown. Depending on the outfit, a pair black dress shoes just won’t work. A pair of brown dress shoes will work well with navy, tan, gray, tan, and more.
Having a pair of casual shoes can change to appearance of anyone’s attire. They are becoming more acceptable in places than ever before. Make sure to have a pair that can go well with many outfits and are comfortable.
A Tailored Suit. Every woman loves a man in a suit! It’s unattractive to see a man in a suit that is too big  or too small. They can to be worn to the office, to evening events, weddings, etc. For those who are shorter, make sure to purchase a Jacket that is short. If you are taller, you can get a way with a long one.
Fitted Suits for Men – Fashionable Yet Stylish
Sweaters. Pullovers and cardigans are great layering in the colder months. When purchasing a cardigan, keep in mind about the pockets and how they make your torso look bulky. I suggest getting them to fit, but having room to wear a shirt underneath.
A Watch. Your watch doesn’t have to be expensive, but should be of great quality. Brown or Black bands or more traditional, but if you are wanting to make a statement, I suggest going for a shiny or matte metal. Just don’t go for a digital watch please!
